Notable winners include Dane Ripper (1997), Melito (2010), Red Tracer (2013), Srikandi (2015), Tofane (2021), and bonny bay Starantes (2024). The race is held at Eagle Farm and usually attracts a high-quality field of fillies and mares. The 2025 Tatts Tiara is a Group 1 race at Eagle Farm in Brisbane and is the final Group 1 of the Queensland Winter Racing Carnival. This race features a 1400 metre distance and offers prize money of $600,000. It was originally held at Parklands Racecourse on the Gold Coast before moving to Eagle Farm in 1997.

Tattersall’s Cup


The Tattersall’s Cup is a Group 3 open handicap race run over 2200 metres at Eagle Farm racecourse in Brisbane, Queensland. It is worth $200,000 in prize money and is contested by horses aged three years old and older. It is generally held on the final day of the Eagle Farm racing carnival and shares a race card with the Group 1 Winter Stakes and the Group 3 WJ Healy Stakes.

The race was first run in 1924 and was given Group 3 status in 1980 when won by Serelot. It has changed its distance 27 times but has remained at its current length of 2200m since 2006.

The 2024 Tattersall’s Cup was won by White Birch from Auguste Rodin and copyright Force. He would go on to win the Gosford Gold Cup later that month. The race also produced other talented graduates including the winner of the Group 2 Q22, Esti Feny. The third-placed runner, Spirit Ridge, went on to finish second in Sydney’s Group 1 Metropolitan that spring.

Tattersall’s Finke Desert Race


The Tattersall’s Finke Desert Race is an off road, multi terrain two day race for bikes, cars and buggies held on the King’s Birthday long weekend in June. It is known as Australia’s ultimate off-road race through remote outback desert country from Alice Springs to the small Aputula (Finke) community. The race starts in the Alice Springs Inland Dragway and runs along sections of the Central Australia Railway over the Finke River to the community of Aputula and back again. Despite a blown engine on the start line Andrew and Matthew Kittle made the most of their home event to finish second outright in their Peter Kittle Motorsport Jimco. They started the return leg from Finke to Alice Springs with a 20second advantage of Matt Coleman, but an unlucky sensor change and a tyre blowout scuttled their chances for victory. Gartner and Jennings won in their F-150 in 3hrs 58min 25 seconds. They also won the Buggy category, equalling Randall Gregory’s five-year domination of the race.

Tattersall’s Golden Casket


In fiscal 2008, the Golden Casket Lottery Corporation contributed $530 million to Tattersall’s revenue. Its poker machine revenue increased by 1.5 per cent and improved margins benefited from ongoing product investment. The company’s UBET wagering business, formerly known as TattsBet, grew revenues by 8.2 per cent and now operates TABs in Queensland, Tasmania, South Australia and the Northern Territory.
